Bill Browning and The Grateful Dead: 60 Years of 'Dark Hollow'

I like David Brombergs version from 1975's Midnight On The Water.

Surprised the song is that young.  It felt like another version of  a traditional song when I first heard someone playing it at college in 63 or so.  Two minor corrections, John Kahn, not Khan,  and Walter Reed is in DC whereas Bethesda where I grew up hosts the Naval Medical ctr.  Thanks for the history.

Thanks for the corrections. There is definitely a link to a couple of old tunes...Wikipedia cites a lyrical connection to “East Virginia Blues/East Virginia" and "Come All You Fair and Tender Ladies". To my ears I couldn’t hear it, so I left it out.
