"Boys from Houston" Captures the Sweep of '60s Music History

You're killing me Terry with these book reviews! As a former Houstonian (Houstonite?) I need this book in my collection.

Hey Hal....I think Houstonian sounds better!  If you've lived this history you'll especially enjoy this book. Enjoy!

"For most popular music historians and ethnomusicologists with a focus on the roots of American music, the common geographical outgrowth, especially over the last 50 years, has been identified in cities like San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Memphis, and Nashville."

No mention of New Orleans? I stopped reading at that point...

You're right, Hap.  Duly noted and updated.
