IBMA 2016: Here Come the Millennials

     Ted,

Another interesting article. I never really thought about millenials and bluegrass,  I have heard of newgrass bands, like the Greencards. I did not know that this kind of music made it to the IBMA week and Awards show.  I really liked Becky Buller when she played fiddle with Darin and Brooke Aldridge. It did not surprise me when she moved on to have her own band.  I don't particulary care for the song above with her playing banjo. I will have to check out some more of her new stuff.

Siera Hull is a well deserved mandolin player of the year. She was always traditional sounding, even when Justin Moses first left Ricky Skaggs to play with her. Her new sound is good ,just different than traditional bluegrass.

Still, plenty of good traditional bluegrass around. Flatt Lonesome is one of the best bands around now, and they are traditional.
