Linda Ronstadt reveals Parkinson’s diagnosis
We haven’t heard much from Linda Ronstadt lately, and AARP magazine has delivered the sad news of why that is.
Ronstadt, 67 (!), has Parkinson’s disease.
“No one can sing with Parkinson’s disease,” Ronstadt says in the article. “No matter how hard you try.”
She goes on to say that she relies on poles to help her navigate uneven terrain, and she has to use a wheelchair when traveling.
I really love Ronstadt’s voice, especially her work with Trio — along with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. I’m going to listen to some of her old tunes tonight, and wish her well.
