Making a Living as a Musician

Bluegrass is a genre that is a tough market if you want to be a super star and make a lot of money. On the other hand, if  you love music and you want to do it for the love of the music, bluegrass is the genre for you. It is a regional  genre coming from the Appalachia mountains , summer is the busy time of the year. As Ted pointed out, there are many bands without a publicist. I reviewed Bluegrass music for several years, and there are many publicists who carry several artists, so for me ,it was a good genre to review. They will share their music, if you have a good website where people have access to your reviews, you will get CDs. I didn't make money at it just a great library of bluegrass music. I also got some free passes for some great groups, like Ricky Skaggs and the Grascals. I don't see it going under anytime soon, bluegrass fans are very loyal and fanatic fans. from years ago.

A lot of good artists also do studio work for other bands.
