Amos, thanks for the great musical tips here.   Very cool singling out my friend Greg Leisz who through a series of rather magical synchronicities I got on Cayamo in 2010 and then, once onboard, got him to play an entire show with someone he'd never met before, Darrell Scott.   An 8x10 image of Leisz and Scott used to hang in Darrell Scott's former home in Nashville from that Cayamo show I've been told.

Really wish that Cayamo had musical "ringers," like in sports, so that musicians like Greg Leisz, Bill Frissell, Joel Guzman, Luke Bulla, Darrell Scott and/or David Lindley could perform with various bands on the cruise as sort of paid free agents.  While Frissell and Lindley have never been on Cayamo, Leisz, Guzman, Scott and Bulla have proven to be soloing stars during intense musical interludes.  One year, 2012, Greg Leisz set a record for Cayamo by playing in fourteen shows during the cruise (sourced from the invaluable 'Cayamo family' excel spreadsheet) which I don't think as ever been topped since.

Always a fun time when the chant "Luke" rises from the audience to cheers on Cayamo when he is seen as a sideman in a band or fronting his own trio.

Wouldn't it be great to have Rory Block do a Sippie Wallace tribute which would be a nice counterpoint to what Bonnie Raitt has done.   Here is Sippie with John Mayall's all-star blues band..."play it boys!"   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI3RVZYEU2U

Jim, I can't help but think Wallace will be one, perhaps the next one. Maybe Block felt it was important to get a more recognizable name out there. I, too, have liked what Raitt has done. My fav record of hers is still the first.
