Through the Lens' Best Roots Music Albums of 2018 (So Far)

John Paul Keith also released a solo album on the same date as the Motel Mirrors. "Heart Shaped Shadow" is even better than the MM effort, in my humble opinion. It covers a wide range of styles, but overall is much more rockin' than "In the Meantime". 

Make sure to catch Motel Mirrors if they come your way-Amy and JPK are usually the opening acts!

Good list - - more colorful and "off-center" than some of the other lists I've seen.  I really wanted to like the new John Prine, and I'm glad to see it connected with others.  It's got a few good songs, but overall it just didn't float my boat all that much.  Nonetheless, the man remains a treasure.
