    Born into a musical family in Lubbock, Texas, Johnny “Chops” Richardson lives and breathes music — in particular, the craft of writing songs, which he’s successfully been doing for the past two decades, both for his solo projects and as the long-time bassist for Randy Rogers Band. Influenced by Tom Petty, Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash, and Social Distortion, Chops teamed up with Reckless Kelly guitarist David Abeyta to co-produce his latest opus, Johnny Chops & The Razors, which features an eclectic mix of bluesy Southern boogie, vintage tones, Southern soul, and pure rock ’n’ roll.
