Christmas Songs That Sleigh Me

Wondering why we see the link but not the video? It looks less professional but damn I love the new laughing function!

Because the website is falling apart before our eyes.

"Joan Osborne Takes A Ride Down Highway 61" is featured twice on the ND story page and has been for several days. But with different photos so it is not literally the same article!

Was the webshite upgraded?

Obliterated is a better word. My page last night showed last week’s column six times. Stacy calls it a case of wack a mole...fix one thing, it breaks ten.

I Hate Christmas

Note that above is a link to a Christmas tune by Jon Dee Graham!!!

This is great...I've heard this one out here before when this topic was discussed in the past...

Thanks for the holiday smorgasbord.  Let's hope that 2018 is productive and bug free for No Depression and all concerned.  Here's my favorite holiday song.  I was surprised that I could not find a guitar and banjo version.

While I can still post anything...the magnificent Over the Rhine with "All I Ever Get For Christmas Is Blue"

Loved the Gurf and the Klezmer too...

My favorite too!

John McCutcheon tells the World War I story in Christmas In The Trenches.  Here's one performance, and there are numerous other videos on YouTube illustrating the story, but the song is so powerful, I think it's even more moving without visual distraction.

The other day for the first time I heard Jackson Browne's Christmas song, "The Rebel Jesus," and thought it was pretty impressive. But that song you posted Jim by Over the Rhine has to be the best Xmas song I've ever heard.

It is excellent, and the live performance is exceptional...all of OTR's Christmas songs tap into the melancholia of the season...it's amazing how many people feel that way this time of year...

I agree that "The Rebel Jesus" is also a fine Xmas song...it's actually relevant all year for the most part...
