Top 10 Albums

David Haskin's Top 10 for 2014

Mary Gauthier's examination of lost love will, I belive become a classic. Sturgill Simpson and Jason Eady's albums are, ostensibly, throw-backs but are so skillfully done as to be fresh. Nickel Creek's album is a virtuosic performance. The rest on my list are best-of-career performances.

1. Mary Gauthier - Trouble and Love

2. Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music

3. Jason Eady - Daylight And Dark

4. Nickel Creek - A Dotted Line

5. Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison - Our Year

6. Zoe Muth - World of Strangers

7. Carrie Elkin & Danny Schmidt - For Keeps

8. Bap Kennedy - Let's Start Again

9. Robby Hecht - Robby Hecht

10. Moot Davis - Goin' in Hot
