Jesse McRae has been a songwriter since the mid-sixties and a performing songwriter since 1974. During that time he has traveled extensively, from the Arctic Circle to the Gulf of Mexico and from coast to coast in Canada and the United States. He has worked as a radio host & interviewer, newspaper and magazine writer, real-estate appraiser, carpenter, house painter, truck driver, masseur, retail manager, and more, but he has never stopped writing songs. A Nashville resident for many years, Jesse now lives in Bellingham, Washington, where he teaches songwriting, and spends treasured time with his family. His first book, "My Four-Minute Life: The Journey of a Very Human Songwriter" is scheduled to launch in March, 2016 and can be previewed at
Jesse is a Pro-Writer member of Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), an affiliate writer and publisher with the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers (SESAC), and a member of the Nashville Publishers Network (NPN).
