As AMERICANAFEST 2024 jets into full blast in Nashville, Tennessee, the Americana Music Association gathered its members and fans at the Ryman Auditorium last night to hand out its annual honors and awards. Hosted by long-time favorites Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan (better known as The Milk Carton Kids), the Americana Awards is always a great show packed with earnest acceptance speeches and memorable performances.
This year, it was dominated by Sierra Ferrell, who took home two of the trophies (handmade, as usual, by ND co-founder Grant Alden). Ferrell won for Album of the Year for her Trail of Flowers, and also for Artist of the Year. Lifetime Achievement Award went to Blind Boys of Alabama, Dave Alvin, and Dwight Yoakam.
A full list of winners is below, followed by a gallery of Americana Awards Red Carpet photos by Amos Perrine. If you missed the show, it’s available for streaming on YouTube.
