3 Years Gone By
It’s been three years since the 75th issue of No Depression, sadly the last. While the website has carried on its legacy, I miss the ghost of human beings and their art or written word, remnants of existence. These physical issues were cave dwellings for heart and soul, a place for imagination and reality to share common ground. I miss the great writing, storytelling, the emotional braille and anticipation one would feel from mailbox to back page from each issue. While the website is an electronic book of social media, there was something genuine about having physical art arrive each month. Each issue was a unique chapter in all of our lives, the absence of ND magazine for me was quite emotionally and spiritually deflating. There is nothing wrong with a social media page in this age of instant gratification, however there should always be a magazine in print.
