• Iris DeMent to start work on new album soon

    Great news! Iris DeMent plans to begin recording a new album in December. Saw her perform in Raleigh this summer and roughly one-third of her set was comprised of non-cover songs I had never heard her sing before, so I was keeping fingers crossed that a new album might be on the horizon. Looks like it is.
