What could be more hideous than the idea of combing Charlie Daniels’ more fuck off songs like “Simple Man”; with the deep growl and horror imagery utilized in death metal? Aptly named Sick Hillbilly this artist has the answer. This music has the antisocial rural attitude of brewing your own drink of choice, fixing your own damn truck, taking care of your own family, being frugal, and canning food in order to weather the times when there may be none. The lyrics are graphic and likely to make even the hungriest of vultures feel a little queasy. Thee musical backdrop is stripped down and comprised mainly of acoustic guitar, yet still managing to sound chaotic and dirty. Obviously this style isn’t for everyone, or anyone sane, but here it is. So prepare to suffer.
