Cool Off Your Summer with The Artic Monkey’s newest album: Suck It and See
What is so appealing about Artic Monkeys’ fourth album to date? Well, to borrow the British four-piece’s album title, you should Suck It and See. This rock album does not lend to passive listening–the twelve tracks grab you and do not let go from start to finish. From Killers-esque track “Brick by Brick” to the dark and trashing “Don’t Sit Down”, lead singer Alex Turner and the boys sure give listeners some meat to sink their teeth into. Another stand-out track that shows off their punk influenced sound is “All My Own Stunts”. We sure believe them about doing all their own stunts- this band has an original sound, and deserve all the attention they are getting.
The band released this album in the limelight—ever since their first album Whatever People Say I Am, That is What I Am Not became the fastest selling debut album in British music history, they have released each subsequent album with care and flair. And the new album has not disappointed—it is #1 on all three major charts in the UK. The rockers—Alex Turner (vocals/ guitar), Jamie Cook (guitar), Nick O’Malley (bass) and Matt Helders (drums/ vocals) are strong in both lyrics in delivery. The lyrics boast that wry British wit, and Turner’s voice comes in smooth and clear over their dynamic music.
