Cali-based Blond Ambition is ending the Summer with a beautifully haunting cover of Evelyn “Champagne” King’s classic R&B track, “Love Come Down.” With a bit of Reggae and Alternative vibe he brings his own flair to the track….which is the Blond Ambition goodness we crave.
Blond Ambition is the solo project of Ex-Cops frontman, Brian Harding, who has been on our radar for a number of years now. Garnering critical acclaim on his 2017 debut, Slow All Over, released via Swoon City Music, he has grabbed the attention of fans and critics alike. “Love Come Down,” showcases a different side of the artist.
Frontman Brian Harding says of the track:
“I heard Barry Bigg’s version of “Love Come Down” through a friend and for 6 months I had it in my head every day. It’s one of those songs that hit me very deeply. I watched the video over and over. So I thought recording it might exercise it out of me.”
The result is a song that is gorgeous from start to finish, as Harding puts his own touch and essence onto to the song. His voice floats heavenly above the track as the instrumentation drives the piece home. What a way to close out the Summer…
