Near the German Border
Just one week after our adventure in Horst we had to play
in a town called Dinxperlo near the German border.
How we ended up there is a long story but I can tell you it
was thanks to the drummer of Holland’s first and best dialect Rock band.
The people who were throwing the party had no partically reason to party and when we did asked them why they we’re throwing a party the answered “well because life is good to us”.
Hell yeah, that’s a pretty good reason to throw a party.
With just two mics and one amplifier we entertained them folks.
Old time music was filling the room and mixed well with all the liquor and food. There even was a ‘Fraulein’ just like the one Don Helms sang about in 1957.
Later on somebody brought in the accordion and Sander and Hank played along with some very old Dutch Folksongs.
By the time we were done and packed our stuff into the van the Fraulein was dancing in the living room and there was some serious clogging going on.
Yeah, we had a good time, hope the neighbors had a good time to?
