• Haggard Cancels Remaining September Shows

    (Pollstar) Published reports indicate Merle Haggard is suffering from a chest infection. At this time there is no word as to whether the dates will be rescheduled. One venue – Virginia’s Charlottesville Pavilion, reports Haggard’s Sept. 22 show will not be rescheduled this season.

    Also gone from the routing is tonight’s gig in Anderson, Ind., as well as shows in Cape Girardeau, Mo., Florence, Ind., Frederick, Md., Newport News, Va., the aforementioned Charlottesville appearance, Athens, Ga., and Mississippi towns Biloxi and Tunica.

    Haggard’s next scheduled performances are Oct. 23-24 at Neil and Pegi Young’s Bridge School Benefit. For more information, click here for the Merle Haggard website.
