You might still be working through your Thanksgiving leftovers, but when you’re ready to think about cooking again, you should check out a new cookbook called Meet Me at the Table. Published earlier this month by Nathaniel Rateliff’s The Marigold Project, the book features recipes from musicians, profiles of food justice organizations across the country, and essays from food activists that shed light on America’s food history and efforts to address inequities in our food systems. Contributing artists include John Prine, Amythyst Kiah, Courtney Marie Andrews, Fantastic Negrito, Adia Victoria, Nikki Lane, and The War and Treaty’s Tanya Trotter. Learn more and order a copy here.

Allison Moorer’s hand-written lyrics to “Heal”
If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for a music lover in your life who has everything, the Americana Music Association is conducting an auction of hand-written lyrics through Tuesday. Participating artists include Allison Moorer (who created a lovely illustrated sheet for her song “Heal”), Billy Bragg (“Tomorrow’s Going to Be a Better Day”), Courtney Marie Andrews (“Burlap String” with doodles!), Gretchen Peters (“On a Bus to St. Cloud”), Indigo Girls (“Closer to Fine”), Jim Lauderdale (“King of Broken Hearts”), Lori McKenna (“Girl Crush”), and Margo Price (“Hands of Time”). Proceeds raise money for the Association’s nonprofit activities to support roots music.
