Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2010 – Lineup announced!
The good folks at HSB have finally listed the lineup for this year’s FREE festival happening October 1-3 in San Francisco’s spectacular Golden Gate Park. As usual, the festival’s cherished elders and traditional headliners will be there. But as in years past, they have booked far ranging artists to challenge, stimulate and entertain even those who have no interest in bluegrass/old time roots music.
All of this incredible largesse is credited to one amazing individual, the “Mayor of Speedway Meadows”,

He decided a decade ago he wanted to put on a free concert featuring Hazel Dickens. From those humble ambitions arose a festival, now world famous, that many consider one of the finest music events anywhere. Last years lineup stretched from the classic high lonesome of the Del McCoury Band to the blistering afro funk of the “Blind Couple from Bamako” Amadou and Mariam.
