challenges for artists

Independents have the tough job of providing their own Dental Plan and Individual Health Insurance. Do you guys know of networks for independent artists to help lower the cost. I know there are options like an Health Savings Account, but I need to find out more about it. If any of you have been down this road, I would appreciate your help. Any tips or advice welcome.
