No Depression Sessions at WinterWonderGrass Tahoe: Pixie & The Partygrass Boys

The next installment in our No Depression Sessions series from WinterWonderGrass in Lake Tahoe features Pixie & The Partygrass Boys at Shadyside Lounge. They shared two songs with us, including “There’s No Friends on a Powder Day” from their forthcoming self-titled album, and a brand spankin’ new song with a working title of “Dance in the Kitchen (With Me).”
P&TPGB are forever reminding us that “you can’t ski and party if you don’t ski and party,” and this session was no exception. Mezcal beverages kept materializing from behind the gorgeous bar at Shadyside while the band kept the energy flowing, putting the ski-town mantra “no friends on a powder day” to music.
The second tune is so new that it didn’t make the deadline for the upcoming album, so you heard it here first. The song might end up being called “Dance in the Kitchen,” and “(With Me)” may or may not end up tacked on to the title, who knows?! It’s the Wild West out here, and we’re happy to be along for the ride.
