Crusin’ with Amy Ray and Danielle Howle
I’ve never been on one of those multi-artist concert cruises, but judging from the clips I’ve seen and the stories I’ve heard about the recent Cayamo cruise, I may need to make it next time.
I’m constantly amazed that my fellow South Carolinian Danielle Howle is still getting “discovered” by people who see her, even though I first wrote about her in the pages of No Depression in 1998, and she has received coverage in the years since from many other outlets. Many of her solo albums, as well as the excellent disc from her first band Lay Quiet Awhile, were issued on Amy Ray’s Daemon imprint, and the two have remained friends.
