A bit of an intro about my label…
Hay Sale Records was established by Canadian east coast alt-country pioneers, The Guthries, as a vehicle for their recordings. When the group disbanded in 2003 after releasing Off Windmill (2000) and their self-titled sophomore effort (2002), members went on to pursue solo projects. In 2005, Guthrie bass player Serge Samson resurrected the label to promote rising Canadian alt-country, folk, roots-rock, and indie-pop artists. Its latest release schedule includes offerings from New Brunswick outlaw-country renegades The Divorcees, Ottawa Valley songsmith Adam Puddington, the alt-country/60’s pop sounds of pedal steel session ace Dale Murray (The Guthries, Buck 65, Nathan Wiley, Cuff the Duke, Matt Mays and El Torpedo), and americana crooner Jason Haywood.
