First of all, the great John Prine has just released a new album, where he’s teamed up with artists as exceptional as Holly Williams and Iris DeMent to sing other people’s songs. Wunderkind producer Dave Cobb’s brother, Brent Cobb, has released a stunning singer-songwriter record that’s got the critic world abuzz. And, like that wasn’t enough, there’s a new monster Ray Charles box set to get us all through the end of the year. Dig in.
