Gillian Welch Adds New ‘The Harrow & the Harvest’ Tour Dates
Last month, David Rawlings announced a new album, Poor David’s Almanack, which features (among other guests like Taylor Goldsmith and Ketch Secor) his longtime musical partner Gillian Welch. Now Welch has a bit of news of her own: some brand new tour dates that coincide with an extra-special vinyl release.
Welch just added a handful of new dates to her “The Harrow & the Harvest Tour,” a run inspired by her 2011 album of the same name, which she and Rawlings will perform in its entirety during each show. On July 28, Welch will release the celebrated, Grammy-nominated album on vinyl for the first time. The vinyl package will feature a tip-on gatefold jacket, a printed sleeve, and lyric insert.
The Harrow & the Harvest is the most recent album of new material released under Welch’s name. Her most recent project with Rawlings was 2015’s Nashville Obsolete. Poor David’s Almanack is out August 11 via the pair’s Acony Records.
