    Move over Ryan Adams…..Logan Vath is quickly on his way to becoming the next big thing in the modern day Americana scene.

    Today we see the release of his beyond impressive EP, In the Presence of the Kingdom, which hit me with a rush of excitement. Leading off the EP is the stunning piece “Every Town,” which I gravitated towards immediately. Throughout the record the he continues to push the boundaries of the genre, lacing it with his haunting and unique vocals, and astounding songwriting skills.

    His use of instruments and production bring a crisp and clear sound to the record that goes above the call of duty, to bring a polished sound that still has a nitty gritty feel to it. Produced by Daniel Mendez, which most know for his work with Dashboard Confessional, In the Presence of the Kingdom pulls out all the stops.

    Vath’s songwriting abilities are mature beyond his years, making him a name to watch out for. Pieces such as the newly released “Linen,” and the brilliant “Nebraska” evoke heavy emotion that create diverse elements throughout the record.

    Logan Vath’s In the Presence of the Kingdom is already on my 2016 year end list….yes it’s THAT good.
