Introducing Nick Arneson: The New Indie Maverick

Whether it’s getting older, people telling him that he can’t follow his dreams, or, frankly anything … Nick Arneson does not give a f**k.
His soulful indie tracks are an ode to getting older and all of the responsibilities that come with it. Despite all of the things going on in his life, Arneson says he can’t imagine life without music, even going so far as to say he would ‘die’ without it.
In his newest track “Martyrs,” his vocals begin the track in an almost Lion King-esque way, but what follows is a heartfelt, harmonically-rich melody laid over a strong, rhythmic guitar. The track makes the listener sway back and forth, engulfed in his music.
Arneson’s style is heavily focused on unique riffs and a moody baseline, but his lyrics are so much more than other indie artists in their 20’s. With age comes maturity, and with maturity comes a deeper understanding of yourself; his lyrics are reflective and enthralling.
