Bluegrass Prodigy AJ Lee stops by the Homegrown Sunday Ramble June 1, 2014
They say timing is everything and our timing was excellent in landing an in-studio interview and live performance from up and coming 16 year old bluegrass artist AJ Lee. AJ was on the east coast in advance of her appearance at the Wind Gap Festival in Wind Gap, PA on June 13 and 14th and was nice enough to stop by the Homegrown Radio NJ studio in Boonton, NJ last Sunday night.
Having only seen AJ on youtube and listened to the two albums she recorded with The Tuttles it was a pleasure to find out that she is as down to earth in person as she appears on video and record. It is hard to believe that someone so young is blessed not just with musical talent and a stunning voice but also with the composure of someone well beyond her years. We all know that fame is fickle but I expect big things from this artist and I look forward to being able to brag that we had her as a guest before she made it big.
