Jason Achilles Mezilis Gets Instrumental at PA’s Lounge

As of recent, I had the pleasure of experiencing Jason Achilles Mezilis live. Playing on a pleasant evening in Boston, Massachusetts , he took over the room at PA’s Lounge, like no other I have seen before. One thing to note is his playful stage presence. Mezilis makes everyone seem like an old friend. Bringing out the true spirit of rock n’ roll he wailed on the carefully crafted songs from his latest record endeavor, COMEDOWN, which could easily put a majority of current day artists to shame.
Each song flowed into the next, as his intoxicating riffs were accompanied by a heavy- yet-accessible instrumentation that poured through the sound system that evening. Mezilis didn’t need lyrics to get his emotion across, he did so within every impeccable note that he and his band proudly played that evening. As someone who has been to several shows at PA’s Lounge in the past, this is by far one that stands out the most to me; and with good reason.
