Welcome to Nashville – I took my wife there on her birthday November 19th!
Parking in Nashville is a ritual fleecing of the tourists, We paid $30 to park for 2 hours, then returned to our car to see an additional $45 ticket applied to our car as: they claimed We had put our $30 in the “wrong machine” .. which was 8 feet from the “right” machine! Here in Canada when there is a robot in the parking lot .. the robots are for all of “that” parking lot! So the Nashville parking authority now wants $75 to park for 2 hours. I disputed the ticket – which I believe left them laughing in stiches. They still want $75 for 2 hours. How’s that as a welcome for tourists?
Upon arriving in Nashville – We booked into an Econolodge hotel, “big mistake” .. My wife left her fit bit watch in the room, and We started calling 4 hours later to make sure the fit bit wasn’t stolen! It took the hotel almost a week to return our 7 phone calls, with the news that the cleaning staff hadn’t found anything .. which is apparently Nashville code for: “We Stole It”
We have been to Austing many times, and never encountered this “fleecing of the tourists”!
So Beware .. if Nashville has always been your dream destination, it could become a nightmare quite easily!
