Best of 2015: Daniel Lanois

I love this photo! So I’ve been a Daniel Lanois fan for many many years, from his early records to his work with Brian Eno, his production work with Emmylou Harris and Bob Dylan, and his solo works. So here he was, performing at the tiny Crocodile in Seattle in support of his current album “Flesh and Machine”. I got myself up to the front of the stage to make sure I was able to get all the action, and as the show began, Daniel picks up this utility light, looks down at me and says “Make sure you get my good side”, and with that, commences to make sonic magic!
