    One part Bruce, one part Steve Earle, the two song EP titled “The RCA Sessions,”  from Nashville five piece the New Americans  is a breath of fresh air.

    Recorded by veteran engineer/producer Russ Long, the two new songs “Cheer Up Beauty,” and “The River,” feature the dusky vocals of  Brian Redahan floating on a delightfully low-fi landcape of retro guitars and drums played with primal energy. The sound is a fine mix of gospel, modern rock and country and mid western melancholy.

    Lets hope this is just a preview of great things to come from these fellas because it is so encouraging to hear real honest American rock from young players.
