WILL KIMBROUGH Award-Winning Guitarist & AMA Nominee for Instrumentalist of the Year! This week focusing on the rockabilly styles of Cliff Gallup. He was a guitarist in Gene Vincent’s band The Blue Caps in the 1950’s. Gallup established a reputation as one of the most technically proficient guitarists in early rock and roll.

Dubbed an “Alien” performer as a way to explain his masterful performance on the guitar, Kimbrough was recognized in 2004 as the “Instrumentalist of the Year” by the Americana Music Association — an award that had previously been awarded three years in a row to Dobro ace Jerry Douglas.
