The last day of Couch by is a bittersweet day. On the one had, we would like to sleep. On the other, it’s been so much fun getting to know the artists and the fans, not to mention the killer music, that we are actually going to miss the proverbial Couch. We had some heavy hitters post videos today, so let’s get right to it!
Megan Michelle from Arizona performed a beautiful, airy rendition of Mindy Smith’s “You Just Forgot” from a shower (great acoustics).
Sadie and the Blue Eyed Devils from Pasadena, California, submitted several videos to CXCW. Here’s “Petey’s Got The Black Lung.”
The Famous of San Francisco performed our new favorite version of the Misfits “Hybrid Moments.”
@TX_Tomgirl sent us a photo from Austin. “Couch by Couchwest meets South by Southwest.”
@toomuchcountry checked in while having a few brews to Drew Kennedy’s video.
Chase 56 of Decatur, Georgia, performed “Friends in Bottles,” a song by the now defunct band The Takers. It completely blew our minds. Click on the page link (above) to see a bonus video of the hottest up-and-coming band in Decatur.
Kasey Anderson sent in a video of he and his band, The Honkies, practicing their song “Heavy Heart” in Seattle. Beautiful.
I’m going to tease you with our final video. It might or might not have been filmed in Leamington Spa, England. It might or might not take place in the back of Tammy Wynette’s trailer. And it might or might not be by Gretchen Peters. Take a look.
