    Remember those Slim Whitman K-Tel record collection commercials that many sneered at in 70s? Well, this cool cat is 88 years old today! He influenced many: Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, to name a few. Happy birthday, Slim!
