A playlist for the voters in California
Voting is one of your most important duties in a democracy and regardless of where you live, I urge you to vote tomorrow. But it is my hope that residents of one state in particular will join together to get the ball rolling in legalizing our freedom of choice, protecting our civil liberties, and, in the process, helping to save the American farmer and making our legal and penal systems more effective. I don’t live in California, but if this initiative were on the ballot in Ohio, it would have my full support.
But this is a music site and I’m not really in the mood to discuss politics right now. So I’ll simply offer the links to Yes On 19 and No on Proposition 19, the two official organizations advocating for and against the proposition and let you make up your mind for yourself. We’re all here for the music anyway, so after a few words from Willie, I’ll offer you a playlist to listen to on your way to the polls tomorrow.
The Playlist:
John Prine- “Illegal Smile”
Cross Canadian Ragweed- “Boys from Oklahoma”
