Carl Anderson’s Risk of Loss is about to become a staple in the Americana world. Released on deluxe edition today via Velvet Elk Records, we experience Anderson showcasing his raw emotions, which plays a significant part on the record.
Throughout the release we hear Anderson channeling his childhood as he touches base on his family and upbringing. Performance wise, Anderson also shines through, as within each piece, he brings his captivating vocal tones, stories and instrument placement into play.
Prominent pieces such as “Separate Ways” and “Heavy,” carry the record to new and exciting places, which is unexpected and an absolute delight.
