• Eli Lev Does It Again with “Way Out West”

    Washington, DC based folk artist Eli Lev released his EP, Way Out West, which is the second release in his four-part album series. His approach to folk music proves that folk is much more than a genre to Eli. His sound and dynamics are genuine, heartfelt, and make listeners feel something.

     

    This EP explores different approaches to folk music and uses Americana influences to its sound. A track we cannot get enough of is “Treason.” The track is cool and calm with a stripped down guitar, deep bass, and wistful pan flute. The track is filled with beautiful textures and layered harmonies that make for a song that showcases Eli’s musicianship. “Water” is also a beautiful track that shows his impeccable writing skills.

     

    Way Out West is an amazing expression of the strength and versatility of folk music. This EP really proves Eli Lev’s versatility. We love what we’re hearing from Eli and we can’t wait to hear the rest of his four-part album series!
