Getting from “Nola to Noho” with Lisa Marie Ellingsen

Northampton singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Ellingsen has released her new album, Nola to Noho! Inspired by classic artists like Lucinda Williams and Kathleen Edwards, listeners can expect to hear tones from her native SoCal, with a dash of New Orleans and classic Texas country. Produced by Grammy nominated producer Anand Nayak, the album was recorded at Sonelab Studios (Easthampton, MA) and mastered by Mark Alan Miller, also at Sonelab Studios.

The albums first track “Rodeo of Broken Dreams” is a catchy track that shows off Lisa Marie‘s stellar vocals, complete with an outstanding guitar breakdown. “Estela” is a gorgeous tale of a love lost, and will tug at your heartstrings for days to come. Another standout is “The Getaway,” which will have you wanting to roll down your car windows and pretend you’re in a music video while riding down the interstate.
