When you come across an act that lives what they sing, and it’s not that Music Row produced life, well you know that you’ve come across something special.
Brad and Curtis Rempel make up the duo, High Valley, who’s first U.S. release Dear Life (Warner Bros. Nashville) proves that music can still come from the heart and soul.
Dear Life starts with the up tempo “She’s With Me,” a song the melds contemporary country with the grit of the prairies. The vocal harmonies between the two brothers makes this a seemless song.
“Make You Mine,” is High Valley’s first foray onto the U.S. Charts..currently in the Top 25 and climbing, it’s better than anything you’re hearing from Music Row.
The ultimate hightlight of this album is the song, “Roads We’ve Never Taken,” which was co written by Brad, Tom Douglas, and Jaren Johnston. Needless to say the lyrics, melody and sonicness of this song are so incredible, you’ll have it on repeat.
A mostly even sounding album (save for the two songs Brad didn’t not co-write), Life takes you on a sonically beautiful journey and you’ll listen to this timeless album for years to come.
