Luzid Chaos is an eclectic musical outfit with a very direct and innovative approach. Their sound blurs the lines between experimental sounds, avant-garde and progressive jazz, making for a distinctive and forward-thinking approach to music. The outfit’s most recent release, Elements, is a great example of their willingness to set the bar higher and constantly try out new sounds and ideas. This EP seamlessly shifts between different genres, and it does not only explore different melodic ideas, but also a wider range of textures and aesthetics.
From experimental background noise to dissonance and far-reaching vocal melodies, there is no limit to what you can expect to find on this effort. One of my favorite songs, “Blossom of Reality,” almost makes me think of bands such as Maserati, but with a more daring experimental feel, tipping the hat off to performers as diverse as Björk and John Zorn, only to mention a few.
