    Blackstone from Denmark

    BLACKSTONE is a duo from Svendborg, Denmark. The members are Nicolai Wøldike Schmith (vocals and guitars) and Rasmus Skovgaard (guitars). The duo plays americana inspired music.

    They released their self titled debut album july 2015.

    Rasmus and Nicolai met first time 2 hours before performing together at legendary “Fællestival” with Burning Velvet (Nicolais solo project). Literally having only time to catch the vibe in songs, they went on playing a concert down by the creek at the Southern Funen  â€œmini Woodstock” festival. The debut album from is produced very much this way. With arrangements made on the fly and in a jammed kind of approach.

    The duo took name from the 1944 Epiphone archtop model Blackstone that you see on the cover of the debut album.
