Acoustic or electric? What’s your preference when listening to live music? Well, last Thursday as far as seeing Twilight Hotel was concerned it wasn’t a case of either/or but both! Let me explain….. The duo, Brandy Zdan and Dave Quanbury, […]
I've been listening to live music for over forty years and started to write reviews of live shows in 2007.
I write for 'Maverick' magazine in the UK, blog on 'No Depression' and my reviews also appear on the 'Whisperers' page on Bob Harris' (BBC Radio DJ) website.
My interests/likes are predominantly folk, Americana and roots music. Singer/songwriters feature heavily in my album collection.
I've supported a number of musicians via fan funding projects and will continue to do so.
I love receiving feedback on my writing, whether it's agreement or disagreement and I get a real kick when I receive messages telling me that a CD has been purchased or tickets to a gig have been bought on the strength of something I have written.
