Post To Wire is a blog dedicated to the different strands of Americana music. We publish reviews, interviews, news and multimedia content from country, folk, blues and roots artists from Australia, New Zealand and around the world.
After creating and publishing the music website Doubtful Sounds I found that I was also driven to developing a secondary blog focusing exclusively on Americana music. A life long Neil Young obsession started it all for me and led me into a musical world that included the likes of Wilco, Richmond Fontaine, Ryan Adams, Hank Williams, Karen Dalton, Nick Drake, Will Oldham, Jason Molina, Lucinda Williams, The Felice Brothers, Loretta Lynn, Gillian Welch, Lambchop, Howe Gelb, The Band, Drive-By Truckers, Townes Van Zandt and a thousand other musicians. This is music that is heartfelt, emotionally rich and sonically thrilling, from the most ramshackle hoedown to a single plaintiff guitar and voice it is music that speaks from and to the soul.
All correspondence including music submissions, gig listing and general feedback should be directed to posttowire(at)iprimus.com.au

Attempts at an authentic presentation of traditional music can show up pale imitators pretty quickly but, on the flip-side, those tagged as the real deal quickly rise to the top. The Deslondes are just that with five singer/songwriters blending country […]
