Ben Folds

Saw Ben Folds in Charlotte last weekend. Great show! Not exactly alt country (whatever that means) . The man can bang the ivories. And lyrics? Folds can and frequently does write about pretty much anything that happens during his daily life… as long as he get to drop the f-bomb. Top notch band, although the bass player had some weird distortion thing going on for most of the show that was interesting at first but ended up being just distracting. Not much improv, but very well put together. I was glad to be there.
