BONUS TRACKS: New Albums Coming from Jason Isbell, Sierra Hull, and Lucy Dacus
This week was rich in new music releases, including from three big names in roots music — country singer-songwriter and rocker Jason Isbell, bluegrass singer-songwriter, mandolinist, and guitarist Sierra Hull, and folk and rock star Lucy Dacus.
Isbell’s first completely solo acoustic album, Foxes in the Snow, is due out March 7 on his own Southeastern Records. Check out the lead single, “Bury Me” below.
Hull’s A Tip Toe High Wire, also due out March 7, will be her first independent release. She self-produced with longtime friend and engineer Shani Gandhi. The first single, “Boom,” is available to stream now.
And Dacus, who got her start as an indie artist, will release her major label debut, Forever is a Feeling, on March 28 via Geffen Records. Her new single, “Ankles,” is below.
Finally, more and more resources are cropping up daily to help those affected by the fires in Greater Los Angeles. This week, physical music market and database Discogs announced that all its sales revenue from today, Friday, January 17, will be donated directly to MusiCares, which will provide “critical assistance for music people in times of need.”
