Briget Boyle Shares Beautiful Video For “Keep It Simple”
Oakland songwriter Briget Boyle has shared the final hint of her upcoming album The Next Line, which is due for release on 9/21. Boyle collaborated with fellow bay-area musician and videographer, Jared Swanson to film this delicate companion to her track “Keep It Simple”.
The video was shot in one evening in Briget‘s home in North Oakland, using only lights they found around the house to create a magical environment that fit the song perfectly. Briget explains, “I wrote this song while reflecting about my relationship with (my spouse) Harlow. When Harlow and I decided to be together, I was coming off of another very complex and toxic relationship situation. I was struck by how easy things became. We cared for each other, looked out for each other, and did not have to try very hard to make things work. The days of mind games were over and I felt safe. This song was born from a place of love and appreciation.”
The Next Line will be released via Waxsimilie Recordings on CD, vinyl and digitally. Pre-order is now available now here.
