    Singer-Songwriter Bryan Deister delivers an impressive batch of songs with the recently released Spines of the Heart. Deister, a classically trained musician, shows off his musical chops with a record that blends elements of Classic Rock and Experimental Rock, with constant, subtle nods to other notable genres.

    Deister, who recalls influences of Thom Yorke of Radiohead, and the late, great Jeff Buckley, showcases his talents with a prominent and driving force. Focus tracks such as the skillfully crafted “Today,” brings a focus and haunting layer to Deister’s Spines of the Heart. The prominent track instantly drew me in as it helps bring the record to life.

    The trippy and highly regarded “Into the Sky,” comes into play, showcasing a whole different side of Deister. Spines of the Heart is Deister’s masterpiece, from beginning to end as he sends a musical message you will not soon forget.
